Parakram - A Fundraiser by CLIMB-DTU
Acid attacks are one of the most ferocious crimes against women and are an extreme manifestation of gender-based violence with deep roots
in patriarchy. These attacks lead to blindness, severe scars, along with far-reaching social, psychological, and economic difficulties. Make Love Not Scars,
a non-profit, reaches the acid attack survivors to provide them dignity through medical, legal, educational and psychological rehabilitation.
They also take care of the survivors' children and their education.
CLIMB DTU has initiated a fundraising campaign for the organization to help and encourage them in their noble work. Owing to the pandemic, the organization is finding it hard to function due to lack of funds. The funds collected would be utilized to keep the safe shelter for acid attack victims running who have been abandoned by their families.
As part of this campaign, We would be holding various workshops, & events. Your donations can make a difference. Let us join hands to provide these victims, whose lives were very nearly taken away, a renewed sense of hope and possibility for a new life.
